One of my favorite tracks - Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, CA. It was my effective base of operations for almost 20 years. I often photographed the early laps of NASCAR Events at Sears Point from a helicopter. This required me - and all my equipment - to be strapped in securely as I was shooting down through an open door. The Track does not want the liability exposure of a heavy camera, lens - or Photographer - falling from a great height onto the Circuit or Spectators...   Here are a few images which show the Sonoma NASCAR track from a unique vantage point.
